What is LaBlast® Fitness? LaBlast Fitness is an interval cardio dance fitness workout created by world renowned dancer, coach, and fitness expert Louis Van Amstel from ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars”.

What will we do? During this work out you will learn actual dance steps while moving to a variety of musical genres from authentic ballroom and Latin, rock n roll, country, hip hop, and more! The musical selections of this class make LaBlast® even more special than other dance programs. Dancing is intuitive and it is emotional; every different song speaks differently to the listener and dancing allows for complete individual expression.

What styles of dance will we learn? LaBlast® Fitness uses all of the dances that you see on “Dancing with the Stars” such as Salsa, Cha Cha, Samba, Disco, Hustle, Merengue, Jive, Swing, Tango, Waltz and more.

Do I need to be an experienced dancer? NO! LaBlast® is for EVERYONE whether you have danced your entire life or have never stepped on the floor. The many levels of this program make is accessible for anyone who wants an alternative workout and learn how to dance.

Do I need a partner? LaBlast® is entirely partner free! The only partner you need is a friend to share in the experience.

What are the health benefits of LaBlast®? Dance fitness classes are an effective way to build cardiovascular endurance. The constant movement, step changes, and challenging choreography in dance routines give participants the opportunity to build both muscle strength and cardiovascular endurance.

What should I wear? Dress down for this one! You can wear comfortable work out clothes and tennis shoes (dance tennis shoes also work great!). We will be sweating, so bring sufficient water and a towel if necessary.

What levels are you certified in? I am a certified Instructor for both LaBlast® Foundations Level 1 & 2, and LaBlast® Turn It Up! Level 3 & 4.
